Plantar Fasciitis

That stabbing first-step-in-the-morning heel pain has a treatable cause, and it isn't always the foot.

About Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is irritation at the bottom of the foot where the fascia attaches to the heel. The cause is rarely just the foot, calf tightness, hip weakness, footwear, and gait all play a role.

We treat the local tissue AND the upstream contributors. Most cases respond to 4–8 weeks of consistent care.

Common causes

  • Tight calves and Achilles
  • Poor footwear or sudden activity change
  • Hip weakness changing foot mechanics
  • Body weight changes loading the foot

How we treat it

  • Soft-tissue release on plantar fascia and calf
  • Foot and ankle mobility work
  • Calf stretching and progressive loading
  • Hip activation and gait coaching
