Knee Pain

Knees rarely cause their own problem. Hips, ankles, and gait usually do.

About Knee Pain

If your knee hurts, the cause is often above or below, a hip that doesn't extend properly, an ankle that doesn't bend, or a glute that doesn't fire. The knee just absorbs the consequences.

We assess the chain from the foot to the lumbar spine and treat the structure that's actually creating the problem.

Common causes

  • Hip stiffness or weakness
  • Ankle dorsiflexion limitation
  • Patellar tracking issues
  • IT band or quad tightness
  • Direct joint or meniscus injury

How we treat it

  • Hip and ankle mobility work
  • Glute activation and strengthening
  • Soft-tissue release for IT band, quad, calf
  • Gait and movement retraining
