Elbow Pain

Tennis and golfer's elbow are common, treatable, and often have a wrist or shoulder origin.

About Elbow Pain

Most elbow pain is tendinopathy, overuse irritation at the tendon attachment. Lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) and medial epicondylitis (golfer's elbow) are the classic patterns.

We treat the local tendon AND the chain, wrist, forearm, shoulder mechanics, that created the overload in the first place.

Common causes

  • Repetitive wrist or grip work
  • Eccentric overload (gripping, lifting, racket sport)
  • Poor shoulder or scapular mechanics increasing forearm load
  • Cervical nerve referral (less common)

How we treat it

  • Soft-tissue work on forearm flexors/extensors
  • Tendon-loading rehab progression
  • Wrist and elbow joint mobilization
  • Shoulder and scapular work upstream
