Overuse Injuries

Overuse injuries don't happen in a day, and they don't fix in a day either.

About Overuse Injuries

Overuse injuries develop gradually as a tissue's load exceeds its recovery capacity, day after day. The pattern is predictable: subtle discomfort, then noticeable pain, then real limitation.

Care has to address both the local tissue and the broader load, training volume, ergonomics, mechanics, and rest patterns. Otherwise the injury keeps coming back.

Common causes

  • Repetitive task overload (work or sport)
  • Sudden volume or intensity increase
  • Movement-pattern inefficiency
  • Insufficient recovery

How we treat it

  • Local tissue work (soft tissue, adjusting, electrotherapy)
  • Movement and mechanics assessment
  • Load management and programming guidance
  • Progressive loading rehab
